Les Cabanes d’Ostende is a magical hideaway tucked into a lush park right on the edge of the Belgian coast, just 500 metres from the beach and within biking distance of Ostend’s vibrant centre. Known as the “Queen of the Belgian Coast,” Ostende carries a lively mix of maritime heritage, Art Deco architecture, contemporary culture, and wide sandy beaches.
There are nine designed wooden cabins — each with a terrace and surrounded by greenery. Inside, you’ll find king-size Auping beds, snug wood-burning stoves, fully equipped kitchens, deluxe entertainment systems with Netflix, Sonos audio, and large windows to bring the outside in. Three cabins even feature private hot tubs, and others include a sauna. All share the same philosophy: privacy, immersion in greenery, and a touch of playful design.
Breakfast is available at the recently opened The Bakery, where guests can order fresh bread and generously filled breakfast baskets every morning to enjoy at their own pace, either in the cabin or outside on their terrace.
At the heart of the property lies a natural swimming pond, where guests can cool off in clear, refreshing water. Nearby, a wellness island invites you to slow down with a sauna session, a quiet lounge chair tucked among the trees, or a hammock strung up in just the right spot. There is also the Pink Library, probably the smallest (and cutest) library in Belgium.
Guests can fire up the BBQ grill on their own terrace or gather herbs from the vegetable garden, pick eggs at the high-tech chicken coop, chop wood, or borrow a Cangoo cargo bike for a ride into town or the sea. The proximity to the city means cafés, galleries, and shops are never far, yet it all feels perfectly secluded.
Les Cabanes d’Ostende is the creation of Natacha and Youri, who imagined a place where luxury could feel playful, ecological, and deeply connected to nature. With backgrounds in design and a shared love for travel, they drew inspiration from cabins they had stayed in around the world and reinterpreted the idea for the Belgian coast. Their vision has turned a quiet woodland plot into one of Belgium’s most distinctive coastal retreats, where every stay reflects their passion for creating moments that linger long after you leave.
