THE STORY

La Fuga Salento is a full private estate rental in Salento, designed like a small, secluded hamlet: four independent residences hidden among olive groves and orchards, inside a protected natural area. You’re based near Ugento, with the coast close enough for daily swims—Torre Mozza is about 2 km away—but the vibe at home is all about quiet, privacy, and warm Mediterranean light. It’s the kind of place that works beautifully for friends travelling together, two or three families sharing a week, or anyone who wants to be “away” without being isolated.

Booked exclusively, La Fuga Salento sleeps up to 14 guests across four separate villas, with a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. One villa is larger (two bedrooms), while the other three are one-bedroom homes—each self-contained, each with its own living space. Every residence has a proper kitchen and outdoor space. If you’d rather not cook at all, La Fuga can be paired with optional services like a private chef or daily housekeeping, depending on your dates and setup.

The shared heart of the estate is an infinity pool with a jacuzzi, set against open countryside views, plus multiple terraces and patios that naturally become your “living room” all day long. The design stays clean and architectural, but never cold—think natural materials, calm interiors, and that easy indoor–outdoor flow you want in southern Italy.

From here, you can do Puglia exactly the way it should be done: mornings at the beach, slow lunches, and late afternoons back at the pool with nothing to decide. The location works well for exploring the wider Salento peninsula—coastal drives, smaller seaside spots, and inland towns—while still keeping the estate itself as your quiet base.

The estate is owned by Maarten, a Dutch host, who imagined La Fuga as a quiet Salento hideaway where design, privacy, and simple outdoor living come together naturally. It’s hosted with a concierge-style spirit, and the estate is set up so you can keep things simple—pool, terraces, beach, repeat—or layer in extras like chef, yoga, massage or tastings when you want the week to feel more curated.
