Domaine Villoire is a charming boutique guesthouse in the Lot department of Occitanie. Set within a meticulously restored 17th-century fortified farmhouse, the property offers a retreat amidst rolling hills, forests, and vineyards. Its location provides easy access to the picturesque medieval village of Puy-l’Évêque and the renowned Cahors wine region, celebrated for its Malbec wines. 

The estate features four elegantly appointed rooms. Two are suites with private kitchens, ideal for guests planning extended stays. The other two are deluxe rooms with minibars and tea and coffee-making facilities. Each unit boasts a covered terrace with comfortable seating and stunning views over the valley.

Domaine Villoire features a swimming pool with a UV filter system, providing a refreshing dip with minimal chlorine exposure. Multiple inviting seating areas are scattered throughout the garden and around the central courtyard, perfect for unwinding with a book or enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Guests can enjoy an honesty bar with snacks, cool drinks, beers, and regional wines. Wine tastings accompanied by a ‘planchette apéro’ can be arranged upon request. For those who enjoy outdoor cooking, a Brasero is available for barbecues. Additionally, the estate provides a fast charging station for electric vehicles. 

Wine enthusiasts can visit local châteaux for tours and tastings, immersing themselves in the rich viticulture of the Cahors area. Cycling through the verdant hills and vineyards is a popular pastime, with two mountain bikes offered by the guesthouse. The area is also dotted with charming bastide villages, bustling weekly markets, and historical sites. For those interested in local culture, participating in a game of pétanque with the locals or attending a “Marché Gourmand” to sample regional delicacies can be delightful experiences. 

Domaine Villoire is owned and operated by Esther and Kees, a Dutch couple who fell in love with the Lot region and decided to create a haven for guests seeking tranquility and authentic French charm. They are dedicated to ensuring that each guest feels at home and has the opportunity to fully unwind and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
