Instants d’Absolu Ecolodge & Spa is a secluded retreat within France’s Auvergne region on the Lac du Pêcher shores in Chavagnac. Situated in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans, this restored farmhouse offers guests an immersive experience in nature, surrounded by forests, mountains, and volcanic landscapes. 

The Ecolodge features 12 uniquely designed rooms and suites, each offering views of the lake, forest, or nearby volcanoes. They blend traditional French architecture with contemporary touches, incorporating natural materials like wood and stone to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Rooms have hardwood floors, linen drapery, and rustic-chic details such as alpaca throw pillows and bedside tables made from tree trunks. 

Guests start their day with a healthy breakfast featuring locally sourced products, including fresh bread, pastries, fruits, and dairy items. Meals are served in the dining area or on the terrace, with picturesque lake views and surrounding landscapes. The restaurant serves refined local cuisine, focusing on healthy dishes prepared with low-temperature cooking methods to preserve nutrients and flavors. The emphasis on local ingredients ensures a fresh and authentic culinary experience. Dining options include the main restaurant and a chalet grill, located a short walk from the main building, offering a unique dining experience with views of the Plomb du Cantal. 

The Boreal Spa includes a Japanese-style open-air bath, an individual Nordic hammam, a sauna, and an outdoor whirlpool. Guests can also enjoy massages and wellness treatments tailored to their needs. The surrounding natural environment provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities. Guests can partake in guided nature walks, bird watching, and wildlife observation, with chances to see migratory birds in spring or autumn and deer in autumn. The area is ideal for hiking, horseback riding, and cycling, with trails that showcase the region’s diverse landscapes.

Instants d’Absolu is owned and operated by Laurence and Daniel, who transformed the historic farmhouse into an eco-friendly haven.
