Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Alpes Vaudoises, Le Miroir d’Argentine seamlessly blends the comfort of modern amenities with the rustic charm of a mountain setting. The Argentine Massif, overlooking Solalex with its north-western face, boasts its highest peak at 2422 meters. The name “Miroir d’Argentine” is derived from its smooth and shiny north-western face, reminiscent of a mirror. Due to its mountainous location, the accommodation is inaccessible by road from December to April. However, guests can reach it by foot, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing, or the team can pick you up with their snowmobile.
Spread across the first and second floors of Le Miroir d’Argentine are eight rooms, all completely renovated in 2022 and uniquely decorated. Each room is thoughtfully furnished and features a desk, a private bathroom with a shower, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, and essential linens. The rooms are designed to provide guests with a peaceful retreat, offering captivating mountain views that create a serene atmosphere for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The hotel boasts two on-site restaurants, both dedicated to serving local cuisine. They offer a range of options, including dishes suitable for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. These restaurants are known for their welcoming atmosphere, catering to couples seeking a romantic setting and anyone searching for traditional flavors and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast is a delightful affair, featuring a selection of unlimited hot beverages, pastries, bread, butter, jam, Bircher muesli, cereals, local cheeses, cold cuts, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, and sautéed vegetables.
Le Miroir d’Argentine offers a variety of activities for its guests, including table tennis and a game room for entertainment. Bicycle rentals are also available, providing an excellent way to explore the region on two wheels. Situated near the interconnected resorts of Villars, Gryon, and Les Diablerets, guests can access a vast ski area with over 130 kilometers of slopes.
Martin, the owner of this delightful retreat, and his welcoming team are well-versed in the secrets of this mountainous region. They eagerly provide recommendations to help guests explore and make the most of their visit, ensuring a unique and enchanting experience amidst the Swiss Alps.
